KU.WA.R.TA.

KU.WA.R.TA. (KUmita, WAis na paggasta, Responsableng pag-ipon, at TAos-pusong pagtulong) is a distinguished financial literacy education initiative developed by iLab ARAL Inc. Since its inception as a classroom-based project in 2015, the program has evolved into a comprehensive educational initiative. It now encompasses a curriculum, engaging competitions, and impactful community activities. KU.WA.R.TA. aims to drive entrepreneurial, financial, economic, and social empowerment. The program's excellence and effectiveness have been recognized through numerous awards, such as by Prudence Foundation, Junior Achievement Philippines, Department of Education, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

Our Program: Through the Years

In 2015, Project KU.WA.R.TA. started as a classroom-based financial literacy education sessions through the Cha-Ching Curriculum.

In 2016, the project was scaled up to a school-level implementation with the support of the JA Cha-Ching Curriculum. The project was enriched by several activities such as finlit conferences and contests.

In 2017, a contextualized KU.WA.R.TA. curriculum was developed. It was pilot tested in 2018 to selected Grade 5 and 6 students to support the sustainability of financial learning of Grade 4 students.

In 2019, the KU.WA.R.TA. curriculum was implemented by several schools in Calabanga with the support of the LGU, DepEd, and private institutions.

In 2020, e-KUWARTA and Money Smart Kids at Home were launched to continue the program amidst of pandemic.

In 2021, Project KU.WA.R.TA. mobile app and Digi-Know were introduced to highlight the digital financial learning in times of the pandemic.

In 2022, digital financial learning course was integrated in the iLab ARAL mobile app. A Money-Smart Summit was also conducted as a kick-off to the resume of in-person financial learning advocacy.

In 2023, the Money-Smart Camp, a signature community-curriculum making activity, was conducted in various key financial literacy education venues in Camarines Sur. These included an entrepreneurship center, a BSP Hub, a local cooperative, and an art gallery. A Money-Guro was integrated to empower educators to become money-smart too.

This program will celebrate and hold a year-long campaign to foster entrepeneurial innovation, financial literacy, economic sustainability and social empowerment.
