The KA-HUSAY-AN PWDe: PWDs and Women’s Digital Empowerment training illuminated the LGU Calabanga Conference Hall on July 17, 2024, delivering essential digital literacy and video production skills to PWDs and women in the community. As part of the broader KA-HUSAY-AN Program, this event aims to bridge the digital divide, equipping marginalized groups with tools to create and share powerful, personal content.

The program kicked off with an opening message from Ms. Rose Santos, a staff member of the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO). To further enrich participants’ knowledge, advocacy videos from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) were shown at the start, providing critical insights on financial literacy and digital finance safety. These videos served to underscore the importance of secure and informed digital transactions in today's increasingly online economy.

Filmmaker Roman Cano, from Partido in Camarines Sur, along with his student, Lance Fernandez, then led the hands-on training in video production and editing, empowering participants to share their stories and amplify their voices through visual media. The collaboration was made possible through the efforts of the PDAO, led by Mr. Carlito Almonte, and Nagkakaisang Kababaihan ng Calabanga, headed by Ms. Gloria Viguilla, who concluded the event with a heartfelt message on the significance of digital empowerment for PWDs and women.

Through KA-HUSAY-AN, this initiative marks a significant step in fostering inclusivity and opening digital pathways for personal and community development in Calabanga. This event was successful through the partnership with CamSur Multi-Purpose Cooperative, LGU Calabanga, Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) Camarines Sur, PDAO-Calabanga, Nagkakaisang Kababaihan ng Calabanga, and Converge-Ravenous Group.
